- Precautions 1. Proper pre-welting and curing should be carried out before painting.
2. After mixing with water, the cement paint should be applied within two hours.
3. The use of white cement or any other local cement paint as a base coat is not recommended.
4. Eurocem should not be applied on the surfaces painted with lime, oil paint and other glossy surfaces. Such surfaces must be scrapped and cleaned properly and a coat of cement primer should be used before application of Eurocem / Shinecoat.
5. Over dilution and under dilution of the paint should be avoided as doing so may result in shade variation. In former case and low coverage or flaking in the later case.
6. Eurocem is available in powder form ready to use. No intermixing of shades or addition of other additives should be done as it affects the properties.
7. Store Eurocem packing in a dry place and properly tied up. It may deteriorate on catching moisture from air if left open.
Mixing
Add 2 parts of Eurocem and one part of water. Stir well using a good stirrer or with hands to get a thick creamy paste. Add another volume of water to get brushable consistency.

Cleaning
Clean the surface of loose paint, dust and grease by sanding with emery paper. Wipe clean with a soft cloth.

Application
Prepare the mix as per instructions given under Mixing. Apply 2 coats of Eurocem using brush with 8-10 hours drying between coats.Each application should be wetted aftter at least 8-10 hrs. with fine water spray depending upon climate conditions. Curing should be done with clean tap water from bottom to top direction. Properly cured cement paint forms an integral part of the surface by forming a strong bond with it and continues to harden day by day. To ensure proper setting of Eurocem. After the second coat, spray clean water on the painted surface twice a day in hot dry weather for at least 2-3 days.
